Ptfe tape pointers.first 1-2 threads should be exposed. with the threads facing toward you, the tape should be applied in a clockwise direction. with threads facing away from you, tape should be applied in a counter-clockwise direction. this will ensure the proper direction and that the tape will not loosen when threads are being tightened. apply 1-1/2 to 2 turns of tape, making sure to leave first 1-2 threads bare, as not to accidentally introduce tape particles into your flow path.
