Cut stainless and carbon steels with cool, consistent cuts thanks to the P-graded premium aluminum oxide abrasive on the Metalite R283 coarse grit cloth file belt. Designed for coarse grit applications requiring an economical initial price, this cloth file belt offers reliable grain retention and product life with help from its durable resin coating. Its X-weight rayon waterproof backing produces a strong, semi-flexible, smooth construction that works well on projects requiring moderate-to-light pressure.

  • Strong, self-sharpening zirconia alumina abrasive for fast, aggressive cut and 30% longer life than competitive zirconia belts
  • The lubricating grinding aid in R801 belts, means cooler cut, burn-free grinding of heat-sensitive materials, and minimized loading
  • R823 has flexible X-weight polyester waterproof backing to excel on light- to moderate-pressure, applications; R801 and R884P have durable Y-weight polyester waterproof cloth backing that excels on medium- to high pressure applications
