Techniweld USA 316/316L TIG Rod – 3/32 in
ER316/316L has the same analysis as ER316, except that the carbon content is limited to a maximum of 0.03% in order to reduce the possibility of formation of intergranular carbide precipitation. ER316/316L is primarily used for welding low-carbon molybdenum-bearing austenitic alloys. ER316/316L is not as strong at elevated temperatures as ER316H. Because of the molybdenum, this product has increased creep resistance at elevated temperatures, as well as pitting resistance in marine and industrial environments.
