Norton – Blaze R980P Flap Disc – 4-1/2 in – 5/8-11 in – 13300 RPM – 60
An excellent disc for stock removal, blending and deburring applications on demanding metals, the Blaze R980P coarse grit arbor thread plastic flat flap disc features a ceramic alumina abrasive grain that outlasts other flap discs by 50 to 200 percent. To maximize grain retention and fray resistance, the disc offers Y-weight polyester flaps with a grinding aid that helps produce fast yet cool cutting. The quick-trim backing plate allows the disc to conform to a variety of surface shapes. Paired with a right angle grinder, this disc is appropriate for super alloys, titanium, and 300 and 400 series stainless.
