Anti-spatter is the highest-value product in this category. Applied to the nozzle, tip and surrounding work before welding, it stops spatter from bonding, which cuts cleaning time substantially. Water-based anti-spatter is for the work surface and is applied before welding; solvent-based is for the torch parts and must be kept off the weld area.
Cutting fluids and tapping fluids cool the tool and the work and flush chips. For drilling and tapping steel, a dedicated cutting fluid gives far longer tool life than oil or nothing. For aluminium, a fluid formulated for non-ferrous metal prevents built-up edge.
Penetrants and anti-seize handle the mechanical side. Penetrating oil frees rusted fasteners; anti-seize prevents galling and seizing on threaded connections that will be taken apart later, particularly at high temperature. Never use anti-seize on oxygen fittings.
Cleaners and degreasers prepare surfaces. Welding over oil, paint or galvanising produces porosity and fume; coatings must be removed from the weld zone before welding, not after it fails.
